Buffers and Windows
Emacs keeps file contents and temporary text in buffers. Windows are panes that show buffers.
- Switch buffers with Select Buffer.
- List open buffers with Listing Existing Buffers.
- Kill buffers with Killing Buffers.
- Split and delete windows with Splitting Windows and Deleting and Resizing Windows.
- Move between windows with Selecting Windows.
